# How to Move a Team's Payment to Another Event

## This article explains how to move a team's payment from one event to another in Zorts. It covers adding the team to the new event, copying the original Payment ID, deleting the payment from the original event, re-recording the payment in the new event using the Check payment method.

1. Manually Add the Team 
     - Open your event in Zorts.
     - Manually add the team to the event.

                   - **IMPORTANT:** Be sure to include the Club Admin's email address when adding the team.
2. Copy the Existing Payment ID  
     - In the original event, locate the team's payment.
     - Copy the **Payment ID** before making any changes.
     - This will allow you to reference the original payment when recording it in the new event.

3. Delete the Existing Payment  
     - After copying the Payment ID, delete the team's payment from the original event in Zorts.

4. Open the Team Payment Area  
     - Navigate to **Teams \> Teams**.
     - Select the **Pay** button next to the team you are recording the payment for.
     - Under **Payment Method**, select **Check**.

5. Enter the Payment Information  
     - Select the Coach that made the payment
     - Choose either: 
           - **In Full**, or
           - **Deposit**  (If deposits are allowed within your event)
     - Add Reference Information (Optional)  
           - Enter any notes and the reference number in the **"Check #"** field for your records.

6. Save the Payment 
     - Submit the payment to record it within the event.

This process records the payment under the correct event while maintaining a clear audit trail for reporting and reconciliation purposes.
